Composite decking is a great alternative for those who want the elegance of a wood deck but don't want the upkeep and maintenance. Traditionally made from wood flour and PVC, a composite deck can last for years and does not require staining, sanding or sealing. Composite decks are fire and water resistant and come in many different styles, grains and colors. |
LockDry® Aluminum Decking
Why Choose LockDry®:
Decks or covered patios move your living experience outdoors. By creating additional space, you can create a second living room, kitchen or dining space. Let your imagination dictate how to use this simple extension on to your home. With LockDry® decking you may have more opportunities than you realize.
Common decking material is usually wood, composite or PVC. LockDry® adds another material to the mix, aluminum. This lightweight but strong interlocking planking system allows you to have a maintenance free deck or patio and it can create a waterproof space below a second or third story deck.
Each aluminum plank is locked to the other with a channel underneath to drain the water off the end of the deck. This creates a solid surface for living space and will protect from bugs and insects if placed on ground level for a screened in patio. Built on a second floor, the ground level area could become a carport, storage area or simply an additional waterproof area to enjoy more of the outdoors.
Because the decking is aluminum, there is no need for painting, sanding or staining. The material will not rust, rot, crack or warp and is extremely resistant to fire. The planks have a finely ribbed texture that is powder coated to make the surface skid resistant and allows the surface temperature to be more comfortable to the touch than concrete or wood. LockDry® also comes in four solid colors and a wood grain finish.
For a stunning deck find a great contractor who preferably has extensive knowledge in the design and build aspects of decks. Hiring a local decking expert will assure they know the area and how to deal with different landscapes and terrain. Additionally, the contractor will have a reputation to uphold and will be competitive in pricing your project. With an experienced deck contractor, he or she will understand all decking materials available to you and be able to help you decide what is best for your style of living.

What our clients say
I believe our house will be held up during an earthquake by our new deck. I may be slightly exaggerating, but my statement reflects how solid our new deck is.Our old deck was a previous owner's self-made rickety disaster. Kevin and his crew tore it down and replaced it with a masterful creation reflecting my wish for a deck with virtually no corners. I wanted the brochure picture of organic design and that is exactly what I got.
During construction our back yard was left spotless every day. We have a tenant who had to enter and exit a door right through the construction area, but she never encountered a piece of construction equipment or nail out of place.
Kevin is an artist. We were in for a potential fight with the County Inspector due to the placement of the existing (non-permitted) deck. We ultimately encountered no difficulty. I attribute much of this ease to Kevin's expertise in both design, and construction.
Many thanks!
